On Thursday the 28th of January Ian Maverick & I spent the day with Maia, Lia and Alessia at Bolsa Chica Wetlands. The kids had a great time, (as did the mommies). Maia found a caterpillar; they used binoculars, monoculars (which Mav enjoyed the opposite end of); a man found a soccer ball and gave it to Mav…he proceeded to throw it into the wetlands; and then the porta-potty…..Mav had a 15+ minute session in one of the more horrible ones I have been in; He wanted to know why there were ants crawling around the seat…. Looks like we spent lots of time outdoors…In actuality, we had a taligate in the ‘Slade for over an hour and the kids ended up sans clothing while Alessia and I knitted….Is that wrong? Ahhhhhh…..to be 3 & 4 again!

Nothing like a day @ the lake! Ian Maverick got to join his buds Jack & Colin @ Lake Mission Viejo. While the lake, sand, playground is fun……nothing beats some free ice cream – thanks to Jack knowing the system: both the solar & the games @ the snack stand!

We went Watermelon “choosing” with Jaden, Tate, Garrett, Fatima & Jenny. Not only did we find out there are over 12,000 different varieties of Watermelon, but a cucumber is 20 degrees cooler in the center than the skin…..We munched on veggies and fruits while on the tractor tour through Tanaka Farms. On to Pumpkins in a couple of months!
